Researchers examined the caregiving experience of family caregivers of individuals with schizophrenia in terms of positive aspects, preparedness, resilience, and life satisfaction. The study collected data from two groups: one had 75 family caregivers of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, and the second group had an equal number of caregivers for individuals with minor physical ailments. The results showed that caregivers of individuals with schizophrenia displayed higher levels of resilience but perceived fewer positive aspects in their caregiving role. There was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of life satisfaction and resilience, underscoring the importance of caregiver preparedness and life satisfaction in enhancing their resilience when caring for individuals with schizophrenia.
